Finally - we can start to think about leaving home without a mask. Something which was such an alien thought this time last year.
This has meant I've started to think about lipstick again. I'm sure I wasn't alone in wearing minimal, if any, makeup during the pandemic (unless there was a Zoom meeting!). There hardly seemed any point in wearing much. In the past I've not been an avid wearer of lipstick - I found some dried my lips out or some just didn't last. But you wouldn't know this if you saw how many lipsticks are in my make up bag!
The beauty industry advises that lipsticks last for 18 months to 2 years. I'm not going to fess up here how old some of mine are.... Unsurprisingly there is a huge array of lipsticks with different "features" now on the market - matte, long lasting, moisturising.... So there is bound to be something out there which is right for you. Lots of brands also offer services now to get the right colour for your skin tone - with some doing it online by using a photo.
I'm clearly no expert in make up but all I would say is why don't you have a look at what lipsticks are in your make up bag? In the interest of reducing my waste, I have started to wear lipstick again. I've found it sometimes helps my outfit come together.
Perhaps you've always enjoyed wearing lip colour but if not, why don't you now start to wear some? Try a neutral if you think a bright red or pink is a bit too much at first.
Just a bit of lippie can really brighten up an outfit, and make us feel like there's a bit of a spring in our step!
