Boot Trends This Winter: Stylish Picks & Tips

You're in the market for some new winter boots and you're not afraid to spend a bit of money on them as these are going to see you through a few winters. But it can still feel difficult to see the wood for the trees. As a personal stylist, I know how overwhelming shopping for an investment purchase can be. There's so much choice out there - so I've taken some of the work out of it for you.

I've listed over 20 winter boots here for you (all are clickable if you want more info). As you'll see I've categorised them and there are a few wild cards in there too! Before we get into it however, a few tips and things to consider before taking the plunge:

  • Make sure you're choosing a colour that will work with lots of things from your wardrobe to get the most wear from this new investment. Have a quick overview of your wardrobe to see what would be most beneficial to you.

  • Consider your lifestyle - do you need to be able to walk lots in these? That might impact on the level of heel which will work for you. Is suede impractical also if you'll be walking in all weathers?

  • Speaking of rain, if you do go for suede it's worth spraying the boots beforehand with some suede protection to give the boots some longevity.

  • Following on from that, it can be really worthwhile to reinforce the soles and heels with a trip to a cobbler. I know that adds on to the price of the boots but again, it can really help you get the most out of this investment.

  • I sometimes hear people struggle with knee high boots due to their calf shape. There are so many more options now out there than there used to be. So, shop around to ensure you get the best fit. If buying online check the measurements and also the returns policy.

I love some of the details in these winter boots - the heel shape, a platform sole, laces or a buckle. Just little touches which can add to your personal style and elevate your outfit. I know some I've included are perhaps on the pricey side but when thinking of cost per wear it's worth buying quality so that these boots last you for years to come. Wearing boots you feel comfortable in and one which goes with your style personality will add to that body confidence we're always trying to work on or maintain. If you love your new purchase you'll be happy to wear them time and time again.

If you feel you could do with more of a helping hand when clothes or shoe shopping, personal shopping is one of the services I offer to help you find these quality pieces which will add to your existing wardrobe. Here is a client testimonial from a recent personal shopping trip:

"As you had carried out a pre-shopping visit to the shopping centre, it meant our trip was very focused. We therefore followed your shopping plan, and identified the coats you had thought would be an option for me. As you know, I bought the first one I tried on, which was also in a different colour to what I thought I was going to buy. I am very happy with my purchase, and know it will be a constant in my wardrobe for a very long time."

If you're wondering if this might be for you, I always offer a free, no obligation 20 minute call to chat through your needs and answer any questions you might have. Simply click here and we can arrange that call.

Until next time,

Lou x
