Well maybe not world, but you know.....! Hi everyone and thank you for reading. I'm Lou and this is my first blog. I've no idea how this section of my website will evolve but I have to start somewhere so here goes.
Since training to be a personal stylist it's been a very busy few weeks. I really had no idea how much there was to do "behind the scenes" to get a business set up. So although I've been quiet on Instagram and Facebook I've been working away trying to get bits sorted.
One thing I've done is a mini wardrobe edit on my own wardrobe. I can't go around preaching about tidying wardrobes without looking at my own! This meant a few hours when I had the house to myself, trying on lots of clothes. I tried some trousers and jumpers which I hadn't put together to see if they worked - some did, some didn't. I set aside some clothes that needed some TLC - one had a hole which I attempted to repair (!!) and a few jumpers needed a good debobble.
The more difficult pile to create is those clothes which we don't want to keep. It can be really hard to let go of clothes. Sometimes, I think you need to be in the right frame of mind to do this. But I tried things on, decided if they made me feel good and I felt confident in them. Some things, like belts for instance, had seen better days and just had to go. The lilac dress below I decided was too pale for me - the colour drained me. I've worn it a few times and realistically I'm not going to wear it again and so it's going. I must admit though I have kept a few pairs of high heels that I just love - but I can't see me wearing them any time soon!
Anyway, I'll leave it there for now. Please feel free to give me any feedback or questions you may have - this is new to me so I'm all ears! If there's any content you'd like to see, just drop me a line. Thanks again for reading, Lou x
